HAPPY BIRTHDAY COUSIN!!!

She is a GINORMOUS M*A*S*H fan and requested cupcakes for her birthday with the show's theme.

I used various toppers which include Red Crosses, Army Men, the M*A*S*H movie cover picture printed and put on a stick, 4077th written in decorating gel, M*A*S*H written with fondant icing and chocolate 21s!

These were truly so much fun to make and I am so excited to deliver them to my cousin tonight for her celebration!

Trains & Gold

This is my most recent order.

My customer requested Train cupcakes and Gold cupcakes to give to the Golden Spike Volunteers in Niles, Ca.

I used edible Gold Luster Dust on the Vanilla Buttercream frosting and White Chocolate molds to top these Yellow cupcakes.

I used Milk Chocolate molds, hand made Train Tracks and Yellow Fondant R/R Crossing Signs to top these Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream frosting.

Happy Mother's Day!

I had some left over cupcakes from the First Communion so I decided to make the MOTHERS in my family some flower cupcakes.

Since I am one of seven children, I knew my mother would be getting plenty of real flowers...so I figured some flower cupcakes would be nice!

These are supposed to look like roses...I'm still learning.

These are sugar daises...simple but they added a very nice touch.

Happy Mother's Day from me to you!

Jacob's First Communion

I made First Communion cupcakes for my friend's son this weekend.

His favorite color is GREEN and his name is Jacob, hence the "J" toppers.

Black Bottom Cupcakes!

Chocolate Chip with Cream Cheese Filling, Chocolate Ganache and Green Chocolate "J" Toppers

I made these in layers...batter, cream cheese, chips then more batter.

I needed the tops to be a smooth as possible because I was using ganache instead of frosting.

They were soooo yummy...

Vanilla Caramel Cupcakes!

Vanilla with Soft Caramel Candy pieces, Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and White Chocolate Cross Toppers

I originally wanted to put an entire caramel candy in the center of each cupcake but didn't want to over due it or have the candy harden to much.

So, I chopped the candies up and dropped about 5 pieces into each cupcake :)

Black & White Cupcakes

A customer wanted to show her appreciation to her loyal customer's by giving them some yummy cupcakes...how nice!

She asked for simple vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with sprinkles.
No problem!

Vanilla & Vanilla Buttercream

Chocolate & Chocolate Buttercream

I shared these cupcakes with some other customers and got a review I just had to post:

"Man, these chocolate cupcakes...I could get a room with them."

Muffin? Nope. Martha Stewart says it's a CUPCAKE....

...and whatever Martha says goes.

I bought myself this book for Christmas.

It wasn't until I got an order for some Banana Muffins that I finally used one of her recipes.

My customer was very specific about what he wanted:

A light and fluffy muffin with no oats, nuts or garnishes and a light banana cream frosting.

I had told him about my banana caramel cake...and he asked for a muffin/cupcake version of that cake, minus the caramel.

So I chose Martha's Banana Pecan Cupcake recipe because she described it as very moist and delicious with or without the pecans.

I used the same banana buttercream recipe as I did on my banana caramel cake.

I've been working on my photography skills...can you tell?

I chopped up some pecans and put them in a separate bag with the order just in case they wanted to sprinkle some on top, as I knew they would be shared with co-workers.

I took a batch to work myself and shared with my co-workers.

A Wilton frosting tip can make you look like a professional

I got a panicked call from a dear friend, the night before her mother's wedding reception.

She had 275 chocolate cupcakes that needed to be frosted, sprinkled and wrapped.
I grabbed my disposable piping bags and my favorite Wilton frosting tips and was on my way!

I did not bake any of these cupcakes and the frosting was provided.

All I did was color the frosting, frost the cupcakes, throw on the sprinkles and wrap 100 of them in pretty cupcake wrappers.

The wedding colors were blue and brown, so half the cupcakes were frosted with blue vanilla and the other half were chocolate frosted.

There was a slight variation of color on some of the blue cupcakes because there was a white frosting and also a buttercream frosting which had a creamy tint to it.

There were also mini cupcakes for the desert bar.

It was a long night...finally finished up around 2:00 am.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Unfortunately, I could not make it to the reception and don't have a picture of the cupcakes on display :(

Congratulations Dee and Brian!!!

Gooooooo Sharks!!!

If you know me at all...you know I am a HUGE San Jose Sharks fan. HUGE!

Tonight is Game 4 of Round 2 in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and to celebrate a great season and a great post-season so far...I wanted to make some festive cupcakes to show my support!

I made these super awesome cupcakes to share with my friends and family...because we are ALL Shark fans.

These are vanilla cupcakes filled and frosted with white chocolate buttercream frosting, topped with a black fondant shark fin.

I made a batch of mini cupcakes too...just so that I could take this picture.

Well, also so that I snacked on these - not the leftovers.

These are milk chocolate cupcakes filled and frosted with creamy peanut butter buttercream frosting, topped with a chocolate peanut butter hockey puck. (Made by Amiable)

The last batch of pucks did not come out too well, so I chopped them up and sprinkled some of the leftover cupcakes then handed out some sample boxes to a few friends.

GO SHARKS!
